Leading bike share firm nextbike has partnered with international hotel group citizenM to offer guests the opportunity to tour Glasgow in a greener way.
Guests at citizenM’s Glasgow hotel, can now get reduced-rate access to nextbike’s fleet of 650 SMARTbikes thanks to the partnership, allowing them to explore the city on two wheels.
The hotel’s guests can also see nextbike’s bike locations through the citizenM app, available to download for free via the App Store and Google Play.
nextbike’s business development manager Samuel Coldham said he was thrilled to see the firm partnering with a well-known hotel chain.
“We love partnering with like-minded companies and organisations to bring bike share to more and more people,” said Mr Coldham.
“citizenM is billed as a hotel for the modern traveller and we believe that bike share is a modern way to get around. We’re excited to be able to bring our scheme straight to travellers and tourists who may be looking for a more sustainable way to see Glasgow,” he added.
nextbike’s Glasgow scheme has reached more than 31,000 people who have clocked up more than 1.5million km while commuting, exploring and exercising through the city.
