Glasgow sees surge in rentals and new customers during June as city emerged from lockdown

Glaswegians took to their bikes in almost record numbers in June, bike share operator nextbike has revealed. With 32,396 rentals, the scheme saw its second highest monthly rentals on record, despite many social distancing restrictions still being in place due to Covid 19. The highest recorded figure ever was in July 2019 with 32,410, which saw just 14 more rentals being made.
